I’m Liz. And I’m so happy, grateful, thankful, excited, pumped, stoked that you’re here reading this.
A few years ago, I lost everything, almost every dollar I ever had to my name. But after a few pity parties (okay, a lot of them), I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and transformed my relationship with money. I don’t earn a great deal of money. And I certainly would never be able to earn enough in my entire lifetime to replace the 9-digit inheritance that I lost.
But you know what? That’s okay. Heck, I’d like to think that I’m better off now, than I was back then.
This blog here, is where I share these life stories of mine – what I’ve lost, what I’ve learnt. Hoping to inspire even just 1 person in this world; that’s what I’m aiming for.
Since you’re new here, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favourite blog posts. Hopefully you enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them. If you’re looking for practical tips to boost your savings or income, I’ve got those too. If you’re searching for titbits of inspiration to improve your entire life, I’ve got you covered as well. If you’re dying to read heart-warming posts on happiness and gratitude, I’ve got your back.
If you happen to find something on this blog that’s of value to you, that would be my greatest joy. And if you’d like to ask me a question, or if you have any requests for blog posts you’d like to read, you can leave me a comment or drop me an email at email@example.com. Thanks!
Getting All Fired Up to Save Money
To many people, saving money is a real challenge. Sometimes, we need some motivation to get ourselves hyped up, and ready to kick ass at saving money. You may find what you’re looking for in these blog posts.
Practical Tips for Saving Money
I get a lot of questions about how I save $40,000 a year, when my corporate job pays me only $2,800 a month. I also get a lot of eyes popping out of heads when I say I live on less than $1,000 a month. Here are some bite-sized insights on how I do all of that.
Dealing with the 9-to-5
All of us have love-hate relationships with our corporate jobs. We love our steady paychecks. But hate practically everything else. Here, you can find practical tips on how to deal with that job you don’t quite enjoy. You can also find pleasure in just good ol’ commiseration.
Hustling on the Side
I’ve been side-hustling for years. I’ve gotten my hands dirty from hustles like retail arbitrage, to tutoring, to blogging. Fun stuff. I’ve got a few little nuggets of information that you could use to boost your own income. I’ve also got ramblings on the businesses that I’ve failed at miserably (but of course, learnt a lot from).
Chasing Financial Freedom
Freedom. Something all of us want, but few ever find. I bet the stuff in here has been talked to death by thousands of bloggers out there, but I do believe that we each have our own perspective on financial freedom. Hopefully you’d find something of use here.
Transforming Your Entire Life
I’ve got lots of cool stuff planned for this segment – pursuing curiosities, chasing dreams. And living your best damn life. This goes beyond just the financial aspect of your life. It’s about making your heart sing. It’s about living and breathing your wildest dreams. (I haven’t put together too amazing at the moment, but stick around and content will be out in a jiffy!)
Living and Breathing Happiness
I think about happiness all the time. When I’m commuting to and from work. When I’m bored of spreadsheets at work. When I’m singing in the shower. When I’m left to the mercy of my thoughts in the dead of the night. All the time. I’ve got a little collection of musings about my philosophy on money, living simply, and practising gratitude, right here.
